In Crisis? Get Help

RichmondKids.ca is not an emergency crisis website, but we can offer you some guidance.

  • If you or a loved one is in immediate danger of hurting yourself or others, call 911
  • If you think a child or youth under 19 years of age is being abused or neglected, you have the legal duty to report your concern to a child welfare worker. Phone 1-800-663-9122 at any time of the day or night.
  • If this is an urgent physical health problem, please contact:
    • your family doctor
    • your local hospital emergency department
    • BC HealthLink (dial 8-1-1)
  • If this is an urgent mental health problem, please contact:
    • your family doctor
    • your local hospital emergency department
    • 310 Mental Health Support at 310-6789 (mental health support line that provides emotional support, information and resources specific to mental health and substance use)
  • Kids Help Phone at 1-800-668-6868 (provides kids and teens access to a professional counsellor by phone to discuss their issue or concern 24 hours a day)
  • If you are not experiencing a crisis, try the Richmond Kids Service Finder tool to find a service provider that may be able to help you with your current concerns.
