4. Cultural Practices in Caregiving:
Presented by Richmond Multicultural Community Services

In this workshop Richmond Multicultural Community Services will share their experiences and knowledge of providing childcare with a multi-cultural lens. The workshop will explore childcare approaches and customs from different cultures and understand how this can inform and enhance your own caregiving practices.

5. Diversity in Storytime:
Presented by Linda Loceff

All children need to see themselves reflected in storytime adventures and see others who are different from them represented with equal importance. Children need to see the food they eat, the holidays they celebrate, and the skin colour of their family members represented. This workshop will provide ideas on how to facilitate storytimes so that they can be a safe place for children to learn about people, cultures, and abilities that are different from their own.
