CAPC Program Offering In-Person Sessions Beginning November 4

The fall schedule for Touchstone Family Association's CAPC Program features both in-person and online learning opportunities.

Touchstone Family Association's Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) aims to improve healthy child development by improving parenting skills and parent-child relationships and decreasing social isolation.

The program is provided in Cantonese and Mandarin, offering a positive learning experience for children (aged 0-6) and their families. CAPC facilitators lead fun learning activities where children find opportunities to make friends and interact with others of similar ages. CAPC facilitators support caregivers in expanding their social support networks, sharing their experiences, and learning more about community resources.

The CAPC Program is looking forward to having children and caregivers return to the General Currie Early Learning Centre beginning November 4, 2020. The program will be operating at a reduced capacity, which means fewer families per day to accommodate cleaning and disinfecting protocols.

Date: November 4 to December 17, 2020 (except November 11, 2020)

Time: Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 am -10:45 am

Location: General Currie Elementary School Portable, 8220 General Currie Road

In addition to in-person sessions, CAPC offers online circle time and outdoor walks.

To ensure the health and safety of participants, NO DROP-INS are allowed. Online booking for all sessions is required (in-person, Zoom and outdoor). Pre-booking of appointments is available on Eventbrite.
