Introduction to Mindful Parenting (Richmond Public Health)

Do you want to raise a happy and resilient child? Do you want to have a better understanding of your child's meltdown, difficulty in focusing, or sad/mad/anxious feelings? If your answer is Yes, this is a parenting workshop you.
In this workshop, you will gain some parenting tools to take home. You will also learn more about the 9-week parenting program, so that you can decide if it is for you.
Workshop topics include:
- A neuroscience perspective of children’s difficult emotions and tough behaviors
- How mindfulness assists you to be the parent you want to be
- Some experiential mindfulness exercises
- Key elements of the 9-week “Mindful Parent Resilient Child” Program
