Helping Children Manage Anxiety (Richmond Public Health)

A Cantonese-speaking workshop series using parent-based intervention to stop the Worry Cycle and Raise Courageous & Independent Children.
In these 5-week workshops series, parents will learn:
- The relationship between anxiety & emotional regulation
- Neuroscience perspective of children’s difficult emotions & behaviors
- Various approaches (e.g., accommodation, reassuring, suppression) to tackle anxiety & their effectiveness
- Tools for parents to support their child without enabling the anxiety/fear
When: Fridays, October 25 - November 22, 9:45am - 12:00pm
