Helping Children Manage Anxiety (Richmond Public Health)

A Cantonese-speaking workshop series using parent-based intervention to stop the Worry Cycle and Raise Courageous & Independent Children.

In these 5-week workshops series, parents will learn:

  1. The relationship between anxiety & emotional regulation
  2. Neuroscience perspective of children’s difficult emotions & behaviors
  3. Various approaches (e.g., accommodation, reassuring, suppression) to tackle anxiety & their effectiveness
  4. Tools for parents to support their child without enabling the anxiety/fear
