StrongStart Programs Re-Open with New Safety Measures
In-person and online StrongStart sessions are available by appointment only.
StrongStart BC programs provide rich learning environments designed for early learning development – language, physical, cognitive, social and emotional. Qualified early childhood educators [ECEs] lead learning activities where children find opportunities to make friends and interact with others of similar ages. ECE facilitators provide a positive early learning experience for children (aged birth to five) and their families. Their goal is to create an interactive, play-based environment that supports caregivers and children to enjoy learning together, develop essential skills and prepare for a transition to school.
Richmond's StrongStart Centres are looking forward to having children and caregivers return beginning September 28th.
They will be operating at a reduced capacity, which means fewer families and less hours per day and/or days per week to accommodate cleaning and disinfecting protocols. The Centres ask that only ONE adult attend with children aged 36 months or older. No Baby or Toddler program at this time.
In addition, Richmond's StrongStart Centres will continue to offer regular Zoom sessions for families who do not get an in-person appointment. By mid-October, they will also offer a “rain or shine” outdoor, Wilderness Wednesday program.
To ensure Health & Safety protocols, NO DROP-INS allowed, online booking for all sessions will be required (in-person, Zoom, and outdoor). Please register and book appointments here:
